Springfield: A Portrait

Springfield: A Portrait, Harold Kee Welch
Six 8'x10' panels. This mural depicting the history of Sangamon County was originally commissioned by the First National Bank of Springfield in the early 60s. The bank was remodeled in the 70s and with the help of Macomb's mayor, Bob Anstine, the panels were relocated to the library of Western Illinois University. When the library expanded, the panels were removed in 2003.
